The show's book was written by Rick Elice (Peter and the Starcatcher), and music/lyrics were written by PigPen Theatre Co. (The Tale of Despereaux). The show is being directed by Tony nominated Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo).
Grant Gustin is best known for starring on The Flash, but he has a background in musical theater. He played Baby John in the national tour of West Side Story in 2010 and later played Dalton Warbler Sebastian on Glee. Isabelle McCalla has starred in Broadway productions of Aladdin, The Prom, and Shucked.
