How about boarding from back to front? It’s common sense. Duh.

ikr. I just don't get it lol. Most airlines also take into account someone's frequent flyer status when they assign boarding zones, which like, ok fine, but otherwise it just makes the most sense to board from back to front

So how does doing windows first save enough time to make it worthwhile? I do not get that.

AKA window seat selection will now be more expensive, just another way to squeeze money out of people.

This video is giving me anxiety and I'm thinking I'll upgrade my seat when I have to fly for work next month. Lol!

I was boarded like this last year when I went to France with friends and it worked alright. It does help to take away the hassle of getting up again (and blocking the aisle) to let people through when the person sitting at the window was somewhere behind you in the line. Should be combined with boarding from back to front too, I don't think that was done on my flights.

Biggest issue is people not checking their ticket and listening to the boarding announcement properly if it's actually their turn to board.

The biggest issue I see is carry on not fitting underbthe seat or people being unwilling to put them under their seat. So you get one person, even worse if it's a person who cannot reach the overhead cabinets, going back and forth trying to find one to fit their bag. I was at the front of the plane last time I flew and saw this.

Yeah that too, I know it wouldn't make things faster at all but I wish overhead could only be accessed by the stewarding team and they say when you enter "this bag stays with us for overhead thanks" and people have to use the seat in front of them to store their smaller carry on if they have two.

Except people grossly over pack and the flight attendants shouldn't have to throw out their backs trying to heft those things. They aren't valets.

boarding and getting off the plane is just so damn annoying for me lol. I've never checked a bag before but I may just do it for my next trip... people put all of their bags in the overhead storage, even smaller bags that can be stowed under the seat in front of them, and the "first come first serve" thing is just BS too because if everyone truly did just put one carry-on up there, it should be fine regardless of when you get on the plane (and is it someone's fault if their ticket's boarding zone is called up later than someone else's? lool.) Your carry-on being like 30 rows ahead of you or behind you because there was no space around you is just so anxiety-inducing for me lol

It's just all so silly to me. If the rule is one carry-on and one personal bag, then nobody should be putting two bags overhead and hogging up all the space (don't get me started on the idiotic ways people place their luggage, in ways that occupy the most space possible lol.)

Flight attendants have enough to worry about and they end up having to rearrange ( ... )

I'm going on a super short trip to London next week and plan on fitting all my things in one backpack and not use the overhead at all, I just want to find my seat and then I'll push the pack under the seat in front. Have to remember to get the aisle seats too so I can be out faster since I don't have to get anything out of the overhead.

yesss, I always book an aisle seat lol

The reason I sometimes try to get on early is because I want to be able to get overhead space. I only bring one carry one (usually no personal item) and it makes me so mad if there is so overhead space ESPECIALLY if I paid extra for it. Lord.
