This year's MTV Europe Music Awards that were to be held in Paris have been cancelled due to security concerns over the Israel-Palestine crisis. I can't find a tweet for the Daily Mail article, but they say

This whole thing is wild. I appreciated that in 2021 people were learning about Israel's treatment of Palestine and that it was colonialism and apartheid. I think a big reason for that was the pandemic and everyone being stuck to their screens.

I keep thinking that it makes sense that the West is so pro-Israel government. Europe has helped spawn a lot of the stealing of land, genocide of native populations, discriminatory practices, and waging war against the oppressed and calling themselves victims. Europe has been the OG but America especially has been the worst of their powers combined with this. It makes sense that countries with the histories that they do are condoning this. It feels like I'm taking crazy pills watching and reading and learning about this. It does feel like a tide is turning with regular people who do not agree with their governments and want the Palestinians to not be murdered or considered not human.

Hopefully I can ask this here, and if not I’ll delete this (or the mods can freeze), but does anyone know what really happened with that hospital bombing? The other morning Israel said they did it and claimed they were going after Hamas leaders hiding in there. Then when it came out that it was a hospital and the bombing killed hundreds of people looking for a safe place, Israel said Hamas did it to themselves.

it's under investigation now. Al-Jazeera has openly questioned Israel's account of events. I know that the IDF released this audio they claimed was proof but people who speak Arabic said the operatives' accents were fake. UK Channel 4 analyzed the audio and agreed with that assessment.

I lived my all childhood 100m in front of the Israel embassy in Paris. I still remember very vividly all the candles when Rabin was assassinated. You could hear people say it was the end of what could have been peace ;__;
