We just got a black shirt and black jeans at our concert.

My friend and I were upset lmao tho the whole way there we were joking he'll show up dressed normally so maybe we jinxed it 🙃

The Joan of Arc is my fave.

LOL I feel this, the show I queued for the longest was Oakland and Gerard was in straight-up lululemon sweats. But apparently that character had a name and was "apocalypse man" so who knows!

My friend opened for them in Minneapolis so my husband and I flew up to go. We didn't get a costume that I remember. Just a hawaiian shirt and a pretty low key, but amazing show. Minneapolis is not a fun city.

Ahhh that costume had the Romeo & Juliet style bullet wound in the forehead I think:

But otherwise not a crazy costume for sure. Seemed like a great show, I'm glad you had fun!

Somehow I completely missed the bullet hole!

a hawaiian shirt is a costume unto itself

the old people costumes represent how i would feel if i went to a music festival today. also, the general demographic for the when we were young festival lbr

I feel like that with concerts. I really wanted to see Poppy but the demographic seems to be mostly 20 somethings and I don't fit in there.

eh, I spent most of my thirties going to punk shows in a college town. there were a lot of college kids and mostly people my age but a few boomer/gen x guys would come and do their thing. I always looked at them and said to myself, "yes, that will be me when I turn 50."

except for that one old guy who brought me an open can of beer to drink and got offended when I didn't want to drink it because hello???? felt v bobby hill idk you that's my purse at the moment. so as long as you don't do that, I think you will be fine.

I was the same in my 20's, mostly saw local acts or cover bands because no one comes to his town or state that's decent. Or that I could afford. But it was usually 20 somethings. The one time I went so many people treated me like a geezer in my mid 20's. So I haven't gone since. I'm also spoiled by how cheap concerts used to be, so I don't want to pay $20-30 for a local band that may suck.

also lol at me being lumped in with boomers. But tbh I feel like it anymore w/ my health. I'm 80% ready for my walker, life alert button, and puree'ed food.

wow OP thank you for the work it took to put this together!!! very informative and well designed post ♥

i had to intentionally put blinders on re: this entire tour because i'm broke and couldn't go lol and didn't want to give myself FOMO harder than i already had :( i have seen them live before (opening for blink in 2011) but i would love to see them headline.

Ahh thank you!! ❤️❤️

Totally understand re: the FOMO. I really hope they tour again soon, even though I have no idea if they will.
