Ahead of its theatrical release next week, Apple TV+ has been releasing (previously recorded) short featurettes for Killers of the Flower Moon.

In the one above, Martin Scorsese and Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear discuss the involvement of the Osage Nation in telling the story of the film.

I like how this film has been promoted thanks to the actors strike. I saw on instagram Scorsese, the technical team and the Osage people who supported them on the red carpet for a film festival. Even though Lily is not there now I know that she will be very present for awards season so I'm glad

I will put aside my dislike of Leo to watch this. I'm always wary of non-indigenous directors telling indigenous stories but it seems like Marty was very conscious of this and made an effort to work with Osage Nation in a meaningful way.
