Ahead of its theatrical release next week, Apple TV+ has been releasing (previously recorded) short featurettes for Killers of the Flower Moon.

In the one above, Martin Scorsese and Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear discuss the involvement of the Osage Nation in telling the story of the film.

In case you are like me and forgot, today is Indigenous Peoples Day in the US (not yet a federal holiday, but fuck Columbus).

(By forgot I mean I went to a zoom directors meeting that hadn't been canceled, there was only me and the IT guy, and we just kept sitting around until I called my boss, so I worked for 2 hours for no reason.)

I wonder how audiences will respond when they have to direct their sympathy at the indigenous people without a proxy white person to funnel it through, lol. Like, are they going to pass that test? IDK IF THEY CAN.
