In the new episode of The Boys spin-off a character named Tek Knight is using Johnny Depp’s name as a way to describe blaming an innocent person for a crime they didn't do and destroying their life: "I'm gonna Johnny Depp someone so hard they're gonna want to crawl into a hole and die."

I initially interpreted it as the inverse--he's going to do what he thinks was done to Johnny Depp (i.e., frame an innocent person) to someone else, to flesh out why this particular character is such a sack of shit. but it makes more sense like this.

Yeah, I think they would've used Amber's name if that were the case.

Yeah, by using Depp's name, they are placing the focus on what he did to someone else. If this was a shot at Amber, they would have made that clear by using her name.
