My cousin bought us Stevie Nicks tickets last week, and with service fees it was like $450 per ticket for one of the sections in the back. I never want to stop going to concerts, but it's just so insulting to charge prices like this.

I despise scalpers. I really wish there was a way to shut them down forever

there totally is. if you only allowed reselling directly through the platform, and mandated that you could only resell to recoup your costs, the problem would pretty much vanish.

but when tickets resell for $2k, ticketmaster gets a percent of that (and often the artist does too, depending on how they structured the contract), and they're not about to let that go.

I know so many idiots who overpaid for the PS5. Scalpers exist because they have customers in all areas, and that's just too bad.

See, I'm considering buying one for someone this Christmas but I only buy factory direct. Did the same with last year's Roomba

Unless you have a complicated death plan for yourself, why would you pay to go to a Travis Scott Concert?

They stand to lose over $1 million just on Scott's tickets, which could put them out of business.

Good. May they lose their homes, be forced to sell their supreme jackets and live their lives out with barrels held up by suspenders for clothing
