Good. Fuck these people. I've been to like 2 affordable concerts recently, it's fucking ridiculous.

My cousin bought us Stevie Nicks tickets last week, and with service fees it was like $450 per ticket for one of the sections in the back. I never want to stop going to concerts, but it's just so insulting to charge prices like this.

I saw her earlier this year and she’s amazing. Completely worth it. :) enjoy!

Same, but for Fever Ray. We passed on going to see them this year because of the same reasons.

that shit is ridiculous...the Cure called it out when fees were more than doubling the ticket price to their shows (which they'd deliberately kept cheap) and those fans actually got some of the money refunded...i wish more big artists would speak up, its appalling

Some subreddits I follow keep getting the Lawrence of Arabia 4k steelbook out of print for reselling purposes. They buy multiple copies (some of whom dont even like the movie) just to make it oop faster. Then they make people pay like $200 bucks on ebay for it.

I'm more lenient on scalpers for physical goods than most, because 400$ is a days work for some people you can make in an hour, but that's way too much effort, storage, and just gaming a system (somehow? Do people buy them for that much?) instead of "oh I'll pick up one extra to sell for 20$ more"

i paid $36 (with fees!) for tickets to see an artist i like at a smaller venue and that shit was SO refreshing. made me miss my first local punk shows growing up when $25 was a luxury price for when the ~big punk bands came to town, lol.

Same. The most I've paid this year is $65, for Bad Omens, a decently in demand band. Lowest is $25 after fees, for a really small club gig next month.

Everyone else I know is into the stadium players, so their bank accounts are in shambles.

In Toronto, I haven't seen any tickets in an arena for less tham $180 a pop, and way in the back lol. Maybe I'm just poor, but that's crazy to me. Basically $400 for two people to mostly watch a monitor because you're too far to adequately see the performer(s) from the actual stage. I know it gets cheaper in smaller cities but it's such blatant exploitation, and entertainment will largely become something only the wealthy can regularly enjoy and it really sucks

Edit: live entertainment, I mean

Man all the concerts I've been to have been $100+ 🥲 I miss when you could get a ticket for $40 the day before, it's so many fucking hoops to jump through. First is the lottery, then the queue, then $100+ BEFORE fees
