I had been wondering what happened to her, because she used to be every where and then suddenly she wasn't.

Though, I'm not surprised her speaking up back then is what blackballed her. Get them, Julia!

at this point, if a talented late 90's/early 2000's actress suddenly dropped off the face of the earth I'm just going to assume she dared to cross Weinstain or another one just like him.

Something about this thought rubs me the wrong way (not about him, obv) because it just makes me think of the Gretchen Mol rumors that she squashed and I remember reading similar things about Robin Tunney then she was vocal about how she stepped back to raise her kids.

Yeah I remember Gretchen had that rumor for the LONGEST TIME!! I remember reading it here on ONTD back in like 2005-2009-ish. It was during the metoo movement that she admitted that it wasn't true and her experience with him was strictly professional in her case.

"For 10 years or so, I’ve been aware of rumors that I had some kind of transactional relationship with Harvey Weinstein. They seemed to start on a gossip website that made money by peddling “blind” items. A few facts had been taken from my Wikipedia page, were combined with stories about a movie mogul who was known for harassing women, quotes from “reliable sources” were added and a malicious, viral rumor was born ( ... )

remember when the blind item said that blake lively turned him down, but everyone just ignored that part to say blake fucked him and that's why she was a hollywood it girl?

great times.

I forgot the previous cases but that's not the first time Bryan Lourd's name has come up in relation to Weinstein.

I wish her well.

I'm glad she feels empowered to speak out and I hope she takes them for every penny she deserves.

If you can stomach it I strongly recommend reading the whole article.

The way she was treated was vile and I 100% believe not only her story about Weinstein but that her agents knew and treated her like a problem when they came to them, begging for help to get him away from her (he was trying to visit her on the set of Simila's Sense of Snow which is the only reason she told her agents).

I am glad she is able to talk about this now. 22 years is a long time to carry this burden alone.
