After family experiences I definitely believe in ghosts.
I've been so curious about Ouija boards lately. Has anyone ever used one and had anything happen? Or heard about anyone else?

My nan told me not to mess with them and when I asked why she said she used one as a kid. Her friend's sister had died and she apparently came through and said that she had taken her own life. The sister knew this but neither she nor the family wanted it to be known because they went to church and others would frown upon it. The sister started screaming at everyone asking how they had found out and why they were teasing her but my nan swears no one had any idea up until then.

From my experience using them when I was a kid, it was always obvious that someone at the table was moving the pointer. Heck, even I moved the pointer around to mess with my cousin. Although she got a little too freaked out, and I told her it was me. It made me feel bad because I misjudged how she’d react, I didn’t realize she took it much more seriously than I did. Shame on 12 year old asshole me.

The only experiences I had was when I was a kid and a friend ended up moving it. The first time she at least pretended to be a friendly spirit and we made them a birthday cake. Second time was at a sleepover and she scared the bejesus out of us and I barely slept that night.

I’m a skeptic but at the same time I would never mess with an old/wooden one. Milton Bradley boards are not it.

My mom once told me when she was a little girl that she had been staying at her best friends house. The other girls mom apparently had been using a ouija board and had some kind of mental break. She made the dad, daughter, and my mom sit at the dining room table saying things like "can't you hear the angels singing, cant you hear them". There was more but that's all I can remember at the moment. The dad ended up convincing her to let the girls go back to my grandparents house. But apparently it scared my mom pretty bad because I once asked for a ouija board when I was a teen and she was just like absolutely not, no fucking way.

My mom used one with her sisters when she was in high school. They tried contacting my great-grandma. A mirror in the room they were in broke by itself and they got so scared. I’ve never used one but I own one.

I did use one long ago with my Mom, Dad & Brother in my paternal parents farmhouse. Half of which was built around the time of the U.S. Civil war. We got messages from a girl ghost, but stopped using it because Mom thought we were moving the planchette around.

some family members had played with one when they were young and one person asked how many kids she would have. fast forward to when they're adults, she has that many kids and then died of a violent and horrific suicide. fast forward many more years, i grow up with very strict instructions to never fuck with the demon board, and i wont go near one.

but i do have a halloween doormat with a ouija board design on it so i'm really straddling that line...
