I’ve been missing the Sims 4 but I haven’t touched it since…maybe 2021?? I’d have to update so many mods and I’m too lazy. But I miss it.

I HOPE the sims 5 won’t be bare as fuck like the base games usually are.

They have so much competition on the horizon that they may not be able to afford being barebones. I think Paralives has already confirmed that weather is included in the base game, and Life By You is made by some of the OG Maxis developers who have worked heavily on previous Sims games--which means they are fully aware of what people want/expect from a game that's meant to be a step up from Sims 3.

Now I’m interested in Life for You, thanks for the info!

Given the amount of expansion packs for 4 I assume the base game will be unplayable without them for 5.

This honestly doesn't surprise me given how disappointing the run of Sims 4 has been. I boot it up every now and then but I just do not find it playable for long, it feels too isolated to one lot and managing the moods is unbearable when a thunderstorm can make you Sim crawl into bed and not want to do anything.

I'm still pissed the EA app is so bad I couldn't download and play expansions I owned for Sims 3 without having to look for ways around it. I first brought it up in like Feb I think and EA lied for ages about me trying to uninstall and install again before they admitted it's a known problem preventing me from playing games I purchased and own.

They need to have a way to play offline.

whats the point of a sims 5 when sims 2 is still superior?

Mte. The modding community is also alive and well. We continue to push the limits of the engine.

I didn't like that children could be elders & die and the parents were still adults. I really liked that Sims 3 added in everyone aging at the same rate and liked that it was easier to interact with neighbors, etc...

The open world in Sims 3 was flawless. It was so much fun to do legacies etc

Ah yes, the infinite charity of EA. Not that their Sims price model wasn't scammy before. But this'll make it so much worse.

I got the Sims 4 for free, but haven't played it in a while. I never played it all that much - just mostly reading & watching TV, etc... rather than playing games.

Same, I just don't care for it. The game is unbearable without downloading a zillion fanmade mods... Sims 2 and 3 were so much better.

I can't believe Sims 4 lasted longer than the previous games.
