mte, im three years younger than duff and watched punk'd all the time when i was 13-15 and it's sad to think that i definitely was like "well that's just how they joke" back then, i still carry that lingering excuse around with me even though i know now how awful that was to hear as a young teen

yup. even though it was more normalized doesn’t mean they weren’t gross like yeah it was the norm but it was fucked and a lot of us are fucked up because of this and that’s why we call it now.
