None of BTS members was criticised for vaping or smoking on K-side so I don't think he's going to be forced to apologize tbh maybe if he was a rookie idol..

Oh geez. I mean, I personally find smoking to be a gross habit. And I grew up in a very non smoking culture. Smoking indoors in LA has been illegal since the early 90s and no one in my family smoked so yeah to me, it's ick. But like... the reactions to this are very OTT.

(eta: I should also say that my personal biases finding smoking ick also probably has to do with my aunt, who didn't even smoke, dying of lung cancer. It was awful seeing her go through that. So yeah... the association between smoking and lung cancer and my experience with my aunt all combines to me absolutely viewing smoking negatively. But also, like, I recognize that a lot of people smoke and it's not something I can change.)

Same but with my grandad. Smoking isn’t just dangerous for the person doing it, but for anyone else around them too. I hate it. Between this and his involvement with the Qatar World Cup, I just fundamentally don’t agree with a lot of his life choices and I don’t see him being my bias wrecker anymore.

I can't. After being in the K-Pop culture~ for almost 10 years now, I will never, ever get over how fans think they own idols.

Right. Plus, TV station staff have complained before about having to air out rooms and clean up after idols who felt they could smoke wherever they want instead of in designated areas, so idk why anyone would be okay with that lol. He's not the only person affected.
