I love Cake Week because since that is (always, I think) the first week, we get the least talented bakers trying to make things they have no business trying to bake and it's a disaster.

I also love pastry week because things can go wrong so fast.

that was one of the rare (only?) times i was ever glad to be american. being so far away from mexico that i think peeling an avocado with a knife is correct? couldn't be me.
