They could've cut Gwen's intro or better yet, reworked Miguel's characterization instead of having him go ape at a 15 year old (esp since this characterization is such a divergent from the comics), but what the fuck do I know?
Truly Hobie, Miles and his family, and the little we got of Margo plus the animation are the saving graces for this movie. Writing-wise; clunky and spread thin and making Miguel act like that now that he's visibly Latino were CHOICES™️

Miles’s strange behaviour, the long convos with his parents and just the time it takes for the plot to actually get going are things that needed to be reworked.

I legit just finished watching, and it dragged a bit in the middle but overall it was really enjoyable I found. I'm not familiar enough with Spidercanon to know, is Miguel a character with this own comics line?
