Now fan-favorite Hobie Brown (Spider-Punk) was almost cut from the film.
“He was in and out of the picture for a little while because we weren’t sure which elements we were going to stick in this part and which were going to migrate to the next movie,” Lord said, which caused strife for the workers as detailed here. When they met (Daniel) Kaluuya, they had to have him in the movie and rewrote parts of the movie to keep Hobie in.
