Neil Blomkamp has an awkward interview

Still not exactly sure what happened here. I’m not a “my interview went off the rails!” person because I find it kinda embarrassing, but let’s just say I wish this interview with Neill Blomkamp had “turned out differently.” (And I liked Gran Turismo.) https://t.co/heNocDDsP2

This whole thing is strange because I'm sure this is not the first time this kind of stuff has happened but people didn't include it in the story before.

Idk I find interviewers who bitch like this to be whiny and unprofessional. Bitch to your friends don’t go public. It’s one thing if he’s calling out truly bad behavior but shit just didn’t go your way dude.

Yeah, I think I agree with you here. Sometimes it just doesn't work for whatever reason - someone had a bad morning, there's a distraction, something rubs someone the wrong way, whatever. Onto the next, no need to make it a whole thing.

If someone is truly good at their job as a journalist, they’d be able to find a way to connect and get the interview back on track.

Or alternatively at least get usable material and work with that while make it engaging and interesting (that’s not to say he can’t included the bit about DB being cagey about D9 s if he really really wanted to)

mfte; an interview is more than asking questions and writing up the answers.

I’m just here to declare myself as a District Nine hater. I do not understand the extreme love for that movie. The idea/concept is good, the execution not so much. And I don’t like Sharlto Copley‘s acting choices.
And every Neil Blomkamp movie has declined in quality since then.

Yeah, it's great on paper, but it's execution goes off the rails towards the end. If it didn't end on the note it did, I would've written it off entirely, but I liked the alien making his little flower. Lol

Honestly it's success isn't because of Neill, but inspite of. His follow up movies should be evidence enough.

Reading that was awkward as hell, glad I didn't have to hear it.

My first association when I hear Gran Turismo:

Why did he feel the need to put quotes around turned out differently? Pet peeve of mine. We know what it means.
