So glad women are speaking about not wanting to have kids.
I decided to not have kids after watching the miracle of birth video in 7th grade. Plus I know I would not be a good mom, so why put a kid through that?
On plus side, I’ve finally aged out of hearing “oh you’ll change your mind when you have a kid”.

Yeah, my main form of employment for twelve years was childcare. I have seen a wide swath of children and parents over the years. I've witnessed the good, the bad, and the reaaally ugly. It steeled my resolve never to change a diaper without getting paid for it.

I have never wanted children. Didn't even really play with dolls as a kid.

The thought of being pregnant makes me feel physically ill. And every time I hear a kid cry it makes my ovaries shrivel... I just get none of that mothering feeling. Nada. If I try and shush the kid its basically for my own peace, lol.

Still all that didn't stop my MIL telling my husband and I that "life finds a way" when we first old her we weren't having any. Pissed me off so much.

I love that they're speaking up too, it's exhausting that people plaster their kids all over social media without a single thought about consent, meanwhile a CF person expressing love and satisfaction for their choices (and not exposing any kids in the process) is somehow showing off or making being CF their whole personality. I love seeing CF people loud & proud of their choices, I feel seen & there isn't a single day I'm not, at least for a brief moment, incredibly grateful that I don't have kids. It's fucking awesome and she should say it ❤️

I've reached an age where people look at me weird for being unmarried/child-less and I just want them to leave me alone and mind their own business. I've seen cousins get married and have kids just because that's what society expects of them only for them to be in loveless marriages and them throwing their kids at the grandparents. Like what was the point?

There are so many people who shouldn’t be parents, but are because they feel it’s what they were supposed to do. Everyday I hear a coworker say awful things to their teenager on the phone. They talk about how the teenager has mental health issues that they are trying to get the counseling/medication right, but then I hear them say things like “stop your stupid crying, you can’t keep calling me like this every time you have a problem, I’m at work and I don’t have time to deal with your shit, fine go live with your dad, you deserve each other” No wonder the kid has problems, all I can hope is the kid goes NC when they turn 18.
