I celebrate every victory big or small when it comes to her. I want her thriving while her ex is decaying right in front of our face.

Thank you, I appreciate the support though tbh it might be closer to the end of next week. Honestly, just doing the surface level research today burned me out fast. But, I think it's important since there seems to be a lot of confusion or lack of awareness around this!

It honestly had been a passing thought of mine and I'm sure those of us who follow the case have talked about it in passing! But it wasn't until I saw this and went to make this post that it clicked, the fact that my abuser has my dog probably helped to connect the dots.

OP I definitely agree that it shaped some perceptions of Amber. From an Australian perspective there was a lot of domestic political context to why it was made into a big thing - biosecurity is a huge deal here and the Agriculture Minister at the time is a massive grandstanding blowhard who wanted the profile that going after some Hollywood stars would give, showing they were tough on biosecurity and an easy win in terms of public support.

I mean... this is an exceedingly kind description of Barnaby but, also, accurate

Ah yes the case that was going to get her definitely sent to prison according to Depp fans. Keep seething, losers.

Right?! They're so delusional, like gov't was like well she made a mistake she admitted it and paid a fine. It was the men who kept making it a shit show because Joyce and Debt kept making comments in the press.
