Nah, wrong OP. Someone else would have added "Would you gain weight for money?" or "What's the most weight you ever lost?".

Actors gaining / losing weight for a role is one of the most unhealthy things, it cannot be good for the body to have such drastic changes in short time (and for futile reason like that)

I'm not unconvinced that Bale and Gyllenhaal didn't permanently fuck themselves up physically by losing as much weight as they did. Gyllenhaal especially hasn't quite looked the same since.

And Bale did it between two action movies no less
When people were gushing over him for it, he wasn't happy
he was like "I just stopped eating man, just completely stopped eating"

I know Henry Cavill had to basically starve himself for Immortals, then he did a film where they wanted him to be "normal" so he went from near-anorexia for one film and then to stuffing his face to gain weight, and then went from that to bulking up for Superman immediately and the yo-yo whiplash was too much for him so he just stays in the shape he wants to be in to withstand stunts ( ... )

Yeah and another thing now that people are luckily starting to be vocally resistant to is this whole casting big name actors for animated films when they for the most part very clearly are not as good at it as actual voice actors

tbh! like some actors can do it because a really skilled actor can make the transition from film to tv to stage to voice acting because they are really gifted and have put in the work to understand the nuances of difference, but in general, people who have spent their entire lives honing the craft of voice acting are still usually going to understand it better because experience matters!

Henry had to stop drinking too iirc, so his muscles would be even more noticeable
Like we might miss them otherwise

Given his childhood trauma and relationship to his body I don't know how he coped
I know people dislike him for rightful reasons but the shit Hollywood put him through with his weight was just gross

I don’t blame her. Sure maybe it’s all vanity but her career is largely reliant on her maintaining the same weight so going through all of that for one role only to lose out on potentially several more afterwards as a result? Doesn’t seem worth it. And it’s unfortunate that Hollywood is obviously way harsher on women in this regard, not to mention women over 40 whose bodies have to be *perfect* in order to not end up a character actress
