OK film nerds, I've been waiting for this because I saw Infinity Pool over the weekend and I have some THOUGHTS. Mainly just one big one. I got to the end of it and thought it was a bit ambiguous, and then I was like, "Well it kind of reminded me of Swimming Pool." That move with Charlotte Rampling about a writer...who goes on vacation...because she's in a rut and needs inspiration for a new book...and a bunch of crazy shit happens...[Spoiler (click to open)]and at the end it's revealed that the crazy shit was the story she came up with in her head and none of it happened. And I thought that was entirely the point of Infinity Pool and we were supposed to see that it was an homage to Swimming Pool and felt stupid that I didn't see it sooner. But apparently nobody else sees it? I mean they almost have the exact same name!

IDK it seems super obvious to me?

Last Voyage of the Demeter is not playing ANYWHERE near me, no theaters within a 40 mile radius (albeit there are only 4). Only things playing in my town are TMNT, Oppenheimer, Barbie, and Haunted Mansion. Which is the same as last week.

Damn, and here was I bemoaning the fact that it's playing at the newest theater but not the dive theater. It seems like a dive theater experience.

That's a bummer! Apparently it only has 2600 theaters, which is on the low end for a wide release.

Medusa Deluxe looks like a lot of fun. Heard that The Demeter was "old fashioned horror" so y'all have fun!

I watched Unwelcome but mostly found it frustrating. Also watched The Innocents and wished I hadn't seen The Haunting of Bly Manor because that ruined it, didn't know it was a remake of that.
