Plus it seems like it’s the more well-known actors who are getting jobs too. Especially when I think they are some of the ones who aren’t effected financially by the strike. I do feel for the behind the scenes people though :|

Since July 18, SAG-AFTRA has been providing select independent films with “interim agreements,” which allow them and the SAG-represented actors in them to continue production during the work stoppage. The main requirement for a waiver is that the film must be truly independent - with no ties to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents over 350 American and film production companies in their collective bargaining agreements with SAG.
for example: A24 does not belong to the AMPTP and they have agreed to the interim terms that SAG-AFTRA have put forth, so, they got two waivers for death of a unicorn and mother mary.
