I can understand why he specifically would not be fondest of Last Jedi. But I still appreciate the swings it took for a franchise that can't seem to move beyond nostalgia outside of 3 instances.

People really hate the Last Jedi but I loved it because like you said it did something different. I wish we would have continued that story instead of the piece of shit that was Rise of the Skywalker.

Yeah I mean I have my issues with certain points of it but overall it’s a solid movie and I love it. The biggest problem is just that they all did whatever they wanted so it doesn’t fit in the trilogy being Abrams came back and tried to “fix” what he didn’t like in the last one. But I totally do understand why John would feel that way. I both want what the third could’ve been if it didn’t try to backtrack and what the whole trilogy could’ve been if they just planned the whole thing out vs letting Johnson do whatever

i still haven’t watched 8 or 9. i decided to wait on 8 to see if 9 stuck the landing and well… i’m just going to continue to blissfully believe the new trio had a better adventure

same. i heard spoilers that Luke died and my brain rejected that information so i just never watched the movie. so TLJ onwards isn't real to me lol.

this is the right order for him. Last jedi had some cool parts but the treatment of his character in that film i will not forgive and will argue with fan boys about it forever.

I mean I literally don’t remember anything from skywalker cus it was so unmemorable it just made me bored the last jedi made me furious maybe because it was when he first got fucked but i feel like he was his story was less stupid and he wasn’t in a “love” story that took course over a day. I mean either way I have a feeling his experience with jj was better than rian but I could be wrong.
