My mom is this person. People don’t understand that there is something that doesn’t fire correctly in their brains. So engaging with them does nothing.

You can throw all the science at them and they don’t accept it. Like I remember I shared that she even used the line of “books were made by men, so your books have taught you nothing.” There is always going to be an explanation for any flaw in their logic.
