I liked CRA well enough, I ... did not like Raya (and she was only co-writer on that one, not director, amidst like 3 other people), so maybe Adele Lim's strengths are in adult movies like this.

I was hoping our new theater would be open in time to play this because I don't know if I'll drive 40 minutes to see it, even with my free pass. Our only other theater here has 4 screens taken up by, of course, no problem with it, family movies.

Last weekend was rewatch of The Blackening (highly recommend if you haven’t already). Very pleased it seems to be doing well.
Also saw No Hard Feelings and Past Lives.

Joy Ride sure will watch. If The Lesson plays near me I will check that out. Also would love to rewatch Asteroid City.

Do it!! I’m genuinely surprised my local AMC is STILL playing it. Asteroid city is already gone to the one nearest me but to my surprise my second showing of The Blackening had more people than the first and they seemed have a steady enough number when I was debating when to rewatch that they added more screenings. Small room but still.

Seeing Joy Ride tonight and The Lesson on Sat -- really want to see Earth Mama, but it doesn't seem to be in NYC till next weekend? I'm confused about that tbh. The YouTube Effect also sounds super-interesting.

I watched Nimona last night and today I ordered the graphic novel off AbeBooks, so safe to say I liked it! <3 It's so endearing.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny: Really enjoyed this! A couple of dodgy moments of CGI, and I wish they'd fixed [Spoiler (click to open)]Harrison's voice in the part where he's deaged, but overall, a fun action adventurer with some heart. I don't have any nostalgic attachment to the original series, though, so I know that can make a difference.

Tommy (1975): Holy shit, the 70s ruled. I looked up the box office for this one, fully expecting it to have flopped, but it made a bunch of money!?! How was the public more open to wild shit like this 50 years ago than it is now?!?! Anyway, I am begging people to bring back the rock opera film ( ... )
