it was indeed not good though. jenn and the lead kid were charming and the reason I could watch the full movie but the script was bad and unfunny, literally the big bits in the film were already in the trailer
thought this interview was interesting because it highlights what we knew all along - that many of the quirky stories about her are exaggerated (by the media, her co-stars and her sometimes). like how jlaw didn't actually deliberately eat tuna/garlic before kissing liam, it just kind of happened.
i feel like she used to be advertised/pushed at us as the likable, cool girl, and now she actually just genuinely seems like she is. she doesn't seem to be trying so hard as she did when she was in her early twenties (i do wonder how much of that was her PR team encouraging her to present a certain way), she just seems naturally lowkey funny and fun to talk to now, without any of the obnoxious forced things she would do or say years ago.
she's one of those people i do casually like but also simultaneously get annoyed by - like i still think it's so shitty that she was so disrespectful to a sacred hawaiian site. but part of me wonders how much of that story was exaggerated for ~laughs (which is obviously shitty in and of itself). it was always really clear back then that she was playing things up and making things sound more funny than they probably really were which was part of what made her so obnoxious eventually. this isn't to absolve her or give her an unearned benefit of the doubt, but in any case I hope she's grown up and it does seem like she's at least chilled out a lot
