I'm sure he would have done a good job but Affleck was perfect in this role. He had the right amount of douchebag unlikeability about him that the character needed.

Ben has all the douchebag vibes as well as the ability to be charming naturally so it fit perfectly for the role, he didn’t have to do heavy lifting and it showed in the best way possible
