They should move it up so far that it merges with part 1.

There is a reason the shortened versions (like at Universal Studios Japan) ended with Defying Gravity and pretended there wasn't a 2nd act.

This movie should’ve happened in 2012 when everyone still liked Wicked. They could’ve just cast the Les Mis cast back then: Amanda Seyfried as Glinda, Samantha Barks as Elphaba, Aaron Tveit as Fiyero.

I feel like nobody is going to care about this movie now.

Amanda can’t sing Glinda though. She was a shaky Cosette and Glinda is more difficult in every way.
