It's actually jarring how much more fluid and well thought out the original one was. Ugh, to be young and watching sailormoon for the first time 🥺🥺🥺

Yep, this is a great example of skilled animators versus ones who are passable. The timing is so off in the cosmos one but the original S opening hit so hard and went perfectly with the music.

I will never get over how badly Bandai(?) butchered the Sailor Moon comeback. Never. That said, I will be watching this when it comes out on Netflix.

Lol this is me. Hate how crystal was made and treated, but still waiting for these movies so I can see Cosmos animated.

Oww I know he is basically missing this whole season but they didn't have Tuxedo Mask in the final image of the new one.

Also, ugh at the rooftop scene being part of this. Definitely pandering to the OG anime crowd.

I don’t mind Mask being missing but they could have done a better job recreating that composition. It just doesn’t look as nice.

Yeah Usagi being in full profile is weird. Crystal has so many awkward angles like this.

I am of 2 minds because I love the throwbacks and seeing the Starlights makes me happy…

But also this really shows they just did not hire great animators like Sailor moon deserves.

Crystal has been so disappointing in so many ways from the animation to the character design to the writing to the characterization etc etc etc. I always wanted to see a Stars arc closer to what Naoko wrote animated, but it being in movies is going to be so rushed (I mean Naoko did rush stars herself but I always felt like a good writing staff could expand on her basic story.)

Sailor moon deserves the best treatment and it gets bread crumbs.
