The telehealth companies aggressively advertising this stuff creep me out.

The doctors prescribing this for people who do not need it should have their license suspended.

Honestly though!

They’re causing a shortage for people that truly need it as well as risking the long term health of people that don’t need it at all. It’s so insidious.

They really should. When you all of a sudden see housewives and other celebs who were thin to begin with using this drug to get even thinner, because it's fashionable now... idgi. In Denmark, my experience is that doctors are very strict with prescribing Wegovy

My dad was taking this a couple a months ago (he's diabetic). He said he did lose weight but I didn't see it 🤷

I was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year and the doctor prescribed me Glucophage (Metformin) which is also a diabetes medicines. the side effects were wild! i was constantly nauseous, got back acne, food no longer tasted good and the diarrhoea was not fun

i stopped taking it after the 60 day course because i don't really have any of the pcos symptoms anyway and life is too short to not enjoy eating

I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago, after fighting to get the tests and diagnosis for YEARS (my entire teens and 20's) and was put on Metformin and birth control. Metformin either made me so sick or constipated (we had to play around with the dosage for the first year or so). It did nothing but make me so sick that I had to call out of work because of it.

You don't have any of the symptoms? You're so lucky! I have a lot of them but also not ones that are traditionally associated with PCOS. My main thing is just wanting to menstruate regularly. I've had some natural periods on my own but nothing regular.

i was diagnosed with pcos when i was 19 after 9 years of irregular periods. that and cysts were my only real symptoms. birth control was my best way to control it. when i decided to try getting pregnant, i stopped and after a year of trying, i did a bunch of blood work with a specialist and somehow my PCOS went away - like i don't have any of the markers for it anymore.

of course i was then diagnosed with hypothyroidism so i've always wondered if thats what it was all along

bodies are so fucking weird
