I know it's a minor detail, but everyone referring to Simu Liu by his first and last name cracked me up.

I'm glad that Curtis finally called Cary on his stank attitude. I get wanting to be successful. That's understandable. But actively wanting your friend to fail is shitty.

Chase and Pat are the two who I always feel for. Even when they're being obnoxious (like Pat complaining to a roomful of fake Applebee's customers that she's spent the last month on a private jet), they still seem so much more normal. They come off as normal people who suddenly found themselves famous and are still adjusting (even though it's been a few years). Cary and Brooke, on the other hand, are the ones constantly making terrible decisions so it's harder to feel bad for them.

The whole Cary/Curtis thing feels incredibly bleak when you remember they both had a convo in an earlier ep about how the role is just clearly super-homophobic and regressive, too.

Like these queens are out here fighting and risking friendships over the tinest scraps, it's just sad.

I haven’t watched the latest ep but I agree with all your points!

I noticed the stark contrast between Pat’s attitude post-fame in comparison to Cary’s. Despite being a billionaire, she’s still kind, supportive and a great mom, but Cary really let the celebrity get to his head even though he didn’t receive anywhere the same level of fame Pat did. She just seems so lonely and boxed in; I can’t help feel sorry for her and Chase, because no one ever seems to listen to him and what he wants to do.

I pointed out in the last post that Brooke can be so frustrating to watch because even in all her poor decision making she’s weirdly relatable. Cary’s just straight up annoying lol.

I didn't know Heléne sang! damn, girl

the show continues to be brilliant, this episode included. It's so clear that it's written by people who are chronically online, every reference is impeccable.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I miss Lance so much though! it's not the same without him.

The Bieberification of Chase is so hilarious to me like, do we think he's aware that there's an incredible parody of him airing right now? Like is his team aware? It's hilarious to me.

The Applebee's scene was so reminiscent of Nathan Fielder's show The Rehearsal and the pub set.

It’s always shocking/disappointing to me when shows cast actors who can sing really well and then never have them sing at all. It’s even crazier that she was on Katy Keene (which had the cast sing multiple songs in every episode) and she never got to sing!

Sometimes I get actively angry when a fantastic singer is stuck as a third banana (or sometimes even a lead) on a show. (See also: Supergirl/Jeremy Jordan; Graceland/Aaron Tveit; Good Trouble/Emma Hunton). I get it's job security and a much better paycheck but...ooh, it really feels like such a waste.

Saaaaaame! I kept wishing that the Graceland gang would have a drunk karaoke party at the house or that his character would go undercover and be forced to sing for any flimsy reason. I totally understand if you don't want to turn a show into a musical but not even a few lines in one episode? Even Kristen Bell got to sarcastically sing one line of "You Had a Bad Day" on Veronica Mars!
