I have to catch up with this episode but I really am enjoying the direction this show is going with Cary and Brooke.

Sometimes I get actively angry when a fantastic singer is stuck as a third banana (or sometimes even a lead) on a show. (See also: Supergirl/Jeremy Jordan; Graceland/Aaron Tveit; Good Trouble/Emma Hunton). I get it's job security and a much better paycheck but...ooh, it really feels like such a waste.

Saaaaaame! I kept wishing that the Graceland gang would have a drunk karaoke party at the house or that his character would go undercover and be forced to sing for any flimsy reason. I totally understand if you don't want to turn a show into a musical but not even a few lines in one episode? Even Kristen Bell got to sarcastically sing one line of "You Had a Bad Day" on Veronica Mars!

Kristen sang One Way or Another at Karaoke in a scene! But I don't think I knew she was a theatre person when I first watched, so that one didn't bother me. Plus I really loved the show.
And Supergirl did have a musical episode at least..and Good Trouble does let Emma sing. But just in general, these people are too talented for mere acting jobs!

OMG I had a copy of her in the Reefer Madness musical. It's probably still somewhere around my house. Now that she's become a total oversharer about her cringey relationship with Dax, I'm embarrassed by how much I used to love her.
