You know they’d make it a big deal.

Love knowing something is filmed in Canada by how many Degrassi actors pop up.

I wonder what they will base the episodes off of. The only high profile cases from Canada I know of are Robert Pickton and Karla Holmoka.

law and order did one loosely based on the homolka case.

If I were doing it, a teenage sex trafficking story (there was that trend of teen girls trafficking other teen girls for a bit there) for the ~shock twist of the traffickers been teen girls, Bruce MacArthur (the serial killer targeting the gay community that the police gaslighted the community about) for 'police issues', Toronto van attack to cover misogyny and incels, Honey and Barry Sherman (billionaire philanthropists who were murdered and nobody has any clue who did it) for the mystery and thus ability to write any ending.

Excellent story ideas. Also, the swarming incident by those teenage girls who killed the homeless man. I still can't wrap my head around that.

And they should do something about the Tow Truck Mafia. That shit is crazy.

Potential plots lines:
-Defending those who protested against the encampments.

-Drinking in the park.

-Lawsuit against every city counselor who voted against opening warming centres.

-Human garbage Jian Ghomeshi

-Illegally playing hockey in city neighbourhoods

-idiot sues city of getting stuck in the Queen's Quay TTC tunnel

-Those teenaged girls involved in the swarming death of a homeless person

-Serial killer Bruce McArthur

So thankful we get a chance at a new mayor. Using this post as a reminder to vote in the by-election on June 26th (advanced voting is between June 8-13)

-chair girl
-references to a crack smoking mayor
-the billionaires who were murdered

Yeah, Honey and Barry Sherman for sure. It's still unsolved, so they'd be able to write their own ending.

Chair girl for sure.

How have I never heard about those billionaires?! Going down a rabbit hole.

what Canadian crime tropes are going to be featured?

killed while playing hockey (with a puck/stick). buried in the snow. body found with sticky substance - surprise! it's maple syrup!
