If I were doing it, a teenage sex trafficking story (there was that trend of teen girls trafficking other teen girls for a bit there) for the ~shock twist of the traffickers been teen girls, Bruce MacArthur (the serial killer targeting the gay community that the police gaslighted the community about) for 'police issues', Toronto van attack to cover misogyny and incels, Honey and Barry Sherman (billionaire philanthropists who were murdered and nobody has any clue who did it) for the mystery and thus ability to write any ending.
