they wish certain family members had chosen to discuss their problems with them privately

The fucking audacity. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK SHE WAS DOING THE FIRST 20 YEARS OF HER LIFE??? When she came to you and said "Josh touched me in a weird way", what was she doing? She went to you multiple times for help and you largely ignored her.

I seriously hate these two people. I hope something happens to them that cracks the very foundations of their faith in god and their faith in themselves as good Christians. I want them to be haunted by doubt. I want them to go through the mental anguish of wrestling with a dogged, nagging doubt in the back of their mind. Like a shadow in a dark window at night, where you can pretend it's not there but sometimes it just catches your eye and you're forced to look at it watching you.

If there is a god, I hope she laughs in their faces when they show up at her gates and kicks them down into the depths of hell

The fact that neither Jim Bob nor Michelle were raised in this creepy cult they sought it out and then they subjected their family to abuse based on this is insanity! Also reminder that this is the same doctrine that Candace Cameron Bure used and to this day still recommends, including hitting infants with rods, absolute insanity

I think you can be religious and a good person, but you cannot be a religious fundamentalist and be a good person. It always comes down to power, control, and abuse. By men.

I follow Tia Levings on IG and I'm very interested to see her interviews in this! She does amazing work talking about the dangers of Christian fundamentalism and Christian nationalism.
