They already remade this with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere. It was horrible. How will the plot work in the modern day? It's a great book but you cannot do a modern day version of it.

The original film with Edward Fox and Michael Lonsdale is fantastic but the Willis/Gere version was an absolute howler. It’s so of its time - modern technology means the plot wouldn’t work.
