After months (even years) of rumors and speculation, it appears that Marvel has finally cast the Fantastic Four. MCU (and sometimes DC) Twitter scooper My Time to Shine Hello says that the Fantastic Four cast is locked

I think I’m super irritated that they’re going to make the one character who’s just going to be a CGI rock monster the one they race swap. I am surprised Mescal’s going to do it if this is true though (and am already irritated with the hand wringing his film Twitter stans are going to do at this announcement).

Yeah I’ll be super annoyed if this is true because they cast one minority and it’s someone who turns into rocks? Honestly just cast a white guy in that case. I’m an MCU stan, but they can’t keep claiming diversity while doing shit like this.

yeah, ben is one of the most iconic jewish marvel chars and i was honestly kind of expecting them to just pull a wanda or kitty pryde again. black jewish representation, especially, is almost entirely nonexistent in media so this is a really pleasant surprise on that point.

that said i also can't help but be cynical and wonder if they would have been willing to cast a black jewish man if he wasn't going to be a cgi rock man but still, he's a great pick for ben grimm imo.
