the same happens with make up (most of the known make up artists are men and most of the make up brands are man owned , even if there have been exceptions lately with celebrity lines), hair (famous hairdressers), clothes (there are way more male designers than female), as soon as something that is considered as a "female activity" has to be recognized ad an high level, men take over

I get what she's saying and IA with her but also I'm pretty sure the last Latina directed major studio film was Patricia Riggen's The 33 which came out 8 years ago. Still heinous, but I wish she had acknowledged her.

i remember i hated her after that. also is she calling her husband out too? he flopped upwards (rejected a televisa+netflix deal lmao) for many years. he was(?) an executive for one the biggest tv companies in latam with flop after flop and somehow he was still there, also making telenovelas where the white and pretty people are 90% of the cast. she's a hack.
