Fuck all her friends, Giles and her sister forever for kicking her out of her own house.

Season seven would have killed this show if it wasn’t already ending. It was painfully bad. But I love that the story ended with Buffy alive.

Spike ruined the season. It focused way too much on him.

And i think that Anya should've remained a vegence demon while sticking w/the scoobies.

But the transition to Sunnydale High to Potentials was really rocky and they should've one or the other to put primary focus on. Should've been a big Watchers Council season working w/Buffy.

Do you remember when the studio/whedon decided S7 would be the end?

Because I always got the vibe, as a watcher (har har), that the writers had a plan to start transitioning focus to Dawn (the training the, High school friends, her briefly thinking she was a potential) -- and then they dropped it all like an awkwardly hot potato. It left me assuming they were going to shoot for a season 8 with a Dawn focus (because SMG was DEFINITELY out) and then did a hard 180 on the plot in the middle of shooting and decided to just end it all instead.

One thing I don't understand about the finale and the calling is that the season obv says at any given time, multiple girls can have the potential to be called. they probably said this and I don't remember, but how is it decided who DOES get called? why was it buffy and not, for example, kendra, if she already had the potential? why was it faith and not someone else? I thought at first it had to do with maybe proximity to where vampires were most prevalent, but obviously that's not the case with Kendra or Faith being so far from CA

It's like the lottery essentially. The Watchers use magic to track down Potentials. As more die, the magic used to create the line imbues more girls w/that potential call.

Kendra & Faith were potentials that were found and started training for the possibility. Buffy was just found to late and likely looked at to be low on the totem pole to be "gifted" the role of the next Slayer.
