This is why I think this all might end in another Taylor cancelling. Someone upthread just mentioned Matty Healy dating a 17-year-old when he was 26, and we all know his other offences. How is she going to tug heartstrings about what an awful person John Mayer is when she's essentially dating a younger version of him? It's exactly like her going on stage and saying men are always going to claim your fame as a woman, and then audio leaking of her telling Kanye that line was fine to use in his song.

She's really going to bait John Mayer like this? You know he has a bone to pick with her, and the ways in which he can win back the narrative is basically being handed to him.

it depends on how she handles it. if she just re-releases the music and calls it a day, it’s good. if she treats speak now like the red rerelease and actually make it a campaign that I would caution against.
