I was a big Taylor fan back in middle/high school and remember all the drama behind Dear John and the line

“don’t you think I was too young to be messed with? the girl in the dress cried the whole way home. I shoulda known.”

bc it was honestly so relatable to every teenaged girl who thought dating a college-aged guy made us look cool. I had no clue she pulled the exact same shit with a teenaged Kennedy kid a few years later until I was much older.

The hypocrisy and the damn audacity to (rightfully) drag somebody publicly through the mud for doing something and then seeing nothing wrong with pulling the exact same stunt.

Apparently not it seems. When I was trying to find a source for him dating a 17 year old so I didn’t accuse him of something he didn’t do I found an article about a Norwegian journalist accusing him of sexually harassing her. So it’s just kind of all over yuck at this point.

Do you think Taylor is going to get word of more and more of this and then pull away to play the victim? For some reason, I either see her staying with him and enduring the hit it takes to her reputation, or removing herself in a very dramatic way and chronicling the trauma over and over again. I think it depends on whether she's personally spiralling into bad habits herself.

He’s going back on tour in a week? She’ll either double down on this, fly back and forth to Europe for him then write some song about them against the world OR maybe just let It die off while he’s away and write some dramatic song. He seems undisciplined with the media though so unless he just keeps his mouth shut the next few months it’ll be fun.

Honestly her drinking is for sure problematic and I know a lot of big names get really strict for tours - no alcohol, good diets, lots of rest, not talking etc. seeing those pics of her the other day, clearly inebriated and the pics last week where she has a glass of wine make me think she’s not being a disciplined as she could.

If you listen to her music she definitely has alcohol problems. Like from 1989 onward there's a ton of references to drinking and alcohol dependency.

Yeah she definitely has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol that I think she tries to portray as IDK normal? Idk the word for it but a lot of her fans seem to love the drunk references and don’t want ti entertain the idea that she just might have a problem with it.
