Here's hoping someone will do a double feature showing of this movie with Let Me Go the Right Way, directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg, written by Owen King, and starring Hopper Penn.

she's going to be in that movie bottoms. it's getting good buzz and there hasn't been anything specifically about her being bad (but it's a small role). she might pull it off if she's not carrying the movie.

This feels like subject matter that will lose all nuance helmed by a man. The screenplay is written by a man too, but they left that out of the article.

Ngl, I'd watch that remake. More so if Isabella has a "kid" they could throw in as her character. Just, scene for scene. Only now they're lesbians because Ernest would have to be Esther lol. Damn it, somebody make this!

Though I'm willing to compromise if Isabella has a son to play Ernest and Rumer becomes Isabella's character

Isabella has a son who is GORGEOUS and a model, so I say keep the gender-swapped version because he's a much better Lisle than Rumer.
