I hope this series is better than the Jessica Biel one which completely demonized the victim, I would have been pissed if I was her family

Oh wow, really? After reading the Texas Monthly article I felt even worse for Betty Gore. She very clearly had anxiety and was struggling with expressing her sexuality but was trying to make her marriage work. Demonizing the victim of such a vicious attack is nasty, nasty work.

Yes! They portrayed the victim as this clingy neurotic, hypochondriac, who acted holier than thou because she took in foster children, then they painted her a bad mom because she was high strung, when I watched the Candy series I kept waiting for a twist because I’ve never seen a victim written like this, but there’s no twist just awful writing decisions

She has perpetual "foot in mouth disease" and it is really making her unlikable. Someone (the innocent party) was murdered IRL. Show a little respect.

Right? Her kids are still alive and grew up without a mother because of the character she's playing.

I guess if she can play a whitewashed Romani character and drop the "g slur", being flip about a murderer is nothing to her.

Her comments on this continue to be incredible because they're offensive no matter what you think actually happened. Truly a masterclass in what not to say.

I really want to know how this will be different from the Jessica Biel version of this story.
