I really hope this show doesn't try to paint Candy Montgomery as some kind of girlboss reclaiming her agency or something, but Elizabeth Olsen is being really flippant about it on the press tour so idk. I read the article about this in Texas Monthly years ago and the description of the neighbors finding the victim hours later while her baby wailed in her crib really stuck with me, so disturbing.

The Texas Monthly story was disturbing as fuck. Also after the announcement came out I did some research and Betty Gore's two adult daughters are still very much alive and were possibly not even raised by their dad.
Even if everything else in their lives was easy I can't imagine what it's like growing up knowing your mom was murdered by your father's lover who is walking around a free woman. I feel so sorry for them.

Tom Brown's Body was a really well done piece of journalism. I kind of maybe think he passed from suicide and that his stepdad hid the body to keep his mom from finding out the truth.
