He seems to be okay with it, since he's been doing some interviews for the show. I think the fact that they weren't trying to humiliate him went a long way. Also, he's said that he's kept in touch with the actors/comedians after the show too, so it looks like they formed genuine relationships.

James Marsden said on Nicole Byer's podcast that they still hang out and went for beers just last week!

I served on a once, and I'm glad I ended up being an alternate. It was murky, and I'd hate to have had to vote. The deliberation was quick and unanimous- I was given the verdict a few hours after being dismissed. I definitely would've held it up, or got pressured into a decision I wasn't confident in.

The selection process was disheartening- everyone, men and women, had some experience with SA. Because people suck.

I do wonder if anyone ever found a friend thru the jury. Have you? I went for drinks with two women, after we were NOT selected for a different case. We are FB friends still, but don't interact lol

i served on 2. The first, i was revealed to be an alternate when it came down to delibarions (ooof gurl the weight was lifted off my chest of that. But me and the other alternate stuck around because we wanted to see the outcome).

The one i had recently, i was chosen and was NOT an alternate. But we were all unanimous except one person, but they just had a few questions to clarify some things, but was mostly in agreeance.
So that deliberation was less than 15 minutes! It wasn't a criminal case, so it didn't feel like we were BLA about it.

Regarding SA, do you think you would be able to be a fair juror given the facts of the case and listen to both sides? They try to weed out people who wouldn't, so i assume you could.

ETA: I'm realizing my language wasn't clear- I was selected, and sat thru the entire trial, with the belief that I would be deliberating. The judge revealed two of us as alternates at the end, because he wanted our full attention. He said that telling people they are alternates at the beginning has resulted in them not listening or taking notes during the trial.

That was a question I was asked after speaking about being a witness to an assault as a child, and I said I could be fair, and I was chosen. Everyone- barring some misogynistic man who was dismissed due to age, nevermind his attitude- discussed having some experience with it, because that's the World we live in, so it'd have been nigh impossible to cut everyone. There were only a couple women I can remember being like "absolutely could not be impartial, absolutely want no part of this case," and one man who claimed to have been a victim of false accusations that didn't make it. Given the climate, they were actually especially concerned with our attitudes towards cops, and if ( ... )

yea, its common practice to NOT tell which juror is an alternate (because they wouldnt pay attention or try to duck out, so they wait til the end. Rightfully so tbh).

There's a couple things I want to watch on Freevee but I just can't with commercials. I wish there was an option without them.
