I’m glad she’s at a place where she can share this publicly & I hope people aren’t assholes to her about it.

I have some of the same childhood experiences & idk really how to explain it but people really do not like it if you’re not talking about your life like this without shame. Like yeah, some parts were really hard but we also have great childhood memories like anyone else? And we should be able to talk about them?

I know she’s not the best actress but I don’t care, I love Lyla Garrety & it’s always a nice surprise when she pops up in whatever I’m watching!

Most people really want to flatten you down into one thing, and I hate it. I know you are also disabled, so maybe you've had the same experience? Where if you can get people to take your pain and medical needs seriously (which is a real battle on it's own) then that's all they want you to be. Now you're a victim and the joy and humor and complexity of your life isn't allowed.

Omg yes, I know exactly what you mean. I’m genuinely a really happy person and at peace with my situation (still have bad days though!) but people see that as faking the bad stuff…like how can we be expected to live if we can’t be anything but miserable all the time ugh

Also reminds me of how we have to really plan our look for doctors visits bc we can’t look like slobs or they won’t take us seriously but we also can’t look too good or we’re obviously not sick. It’s all so depressing to not be seen as a person, just our problems

Exactly, you can't survive that way! You have to be able to continue living and that includes everything- good, great, bad, small annoyances, whatever. But people think if you're not gnashing your teeth and weeping + constantly trying to "get better" then you're not sick.

I feel this, so much. Constantly trying to appeal to doctors, not look the wrong way, or set off their egos, just to get baseline care...🙃

Oh boy, CEvans fans told once that she was a rich nepo baby and I had no reason to not believe them and for the longest time, I thought she was just a nepo baby. Apparently, she's so much more than that. Based on this post, his father was never a factor in her life.

According to this instagram post, he was not really in her life until she was much older. And although it's true that her dad was in Aerosmith, he was only in the band for a very brief period (1981-1984). During that time, the band released only one album and two singles (neither of which her dad played on). The tour they did to support that album was in clubs and theaters and they couldn't even fill those.

Wow! Reading what she wrote makes me think that I'd enjoy her book tbh.

I never really followed up when a fan mentioned that she was a nepo baby. Even when I was a fan of Evans, I wasn't exactly following him that much.

It looks like he didn't this deserve this woman tbh.

my memory is vague but she also busted her ass as a nurse to support herself and also her mum (I think?). She's smart and a hard worker and I remember so many ONTDers saying she was a no-talent social climber who always called the paps when she was out with Chrevans, so that was what I believed. This was like a decade or more ago though lol no more internalised misogyny for me thank you! While I don't think she's a fantastic actress by any means, she seems like just a decent person who's also insanely beautiful
