I have generally enjoyed the Picard series but this episode was so stupid and a lot of the dialogue was poorly written. But then the last scene! I know the show was deliberately trying to trigger my nostalgia and it worked.
Is the guy playing Jack a terrible actor or is all of his dialogue just awful? When he was talking to himself in the shuttle, it was just so cheesy and bad.
I laughed when Data cheerfully said, "I hope we die quickly," and again later when everyone looked at Worf and he said, "It wasn't my fault."

Both probably. God, he fucking sucks.
I did cackle at that Data line. His delivery was perfect.

As soon as he started yelling at individual people to get out while he was shooting away, I knew he wouldn't make it to a spin off. Now I really need to rewatch 12 Monkeys!

Todd Stashwick was a revelation tho. Definitely gonna start paying attention to his career now.

I have only seen Season 1, I do plan to watch more but by the time I catch up I'm sure nobody will be talking about it.

You'd think the stakes would seem higher with this total assimilation of Starfleet, but I'm sure Jack will be instrumental in de-Borging the youngins. And as this is a nostalgia finale, they won't touch any of the olds. Probably? Maybe one sacrificial death at most?
