Star Wars Celebration is happening right now in London, and I completely forgot about it.

No plot stuff, but seems to take place around or after Rebels. Premieres August 2023.

Cast also includes Ray Stevenson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren from the Star Wars Rebels animated series, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who'll be Hera.

Since they announced this been asking why they're doing this as a live action series versus just putting out another cartoon. There's 200'ish episodes of cartoon content you have to sift through to know who these characters are, you're not going to draw in new viewers with this. My prediction is Disney is going to panic and freeze a whole bunch of projects in pre-production when viewership and subscriptions doesn't cover what they paid for this.

Happy for the Rebels fans to get new content, but outside of y'all who is this appealing to?

even as a rebels fan, i would have way preferred if this was animated lol

tbh I never bothered with Rebels bc I don't care about the OT battle when it's not Jedi related (Which is ironic, as I'm the complete opposite with the PT), but I read a bit of the Kanan (?) comic that ties into Rebels and it's pretty interesting.

I'm not a big Rebels fan, I'm not even a big Ahsoka fan, but it's interesting enough bc more ladies.

I kid but this is literally Rebels 2, I feel for those who haven't watched Rebels, they are gonna be confused as all hell but hopefully they explain things well (they probably wont).

Meanwhile I'm still waiting on that live action Kallus cameo that will never happen 💀

I know very little about Star Wars in general but I know a lot of people love Ahsoka and I liked her in The Mandalorian so honestly I'll be watching

Ahsoka is my sons FAVOURITE but he's only six so I might need to watch it before I decide if he gets to lol.

leaked bits from The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew are floating around and they announced stuff for the Old and High Republics. I'm excited for those.
