It’s an odd choice, and not a parenting choice I would make for my nonexistent children. However, if the dye was safe for a baby’s sensitive skin and hair, it’s not the worst parenting choice that could be made.

My grandma let me put blue in my hair with Kool-Aid when I was a little kid (tho my mom was pissed). I had super blonde hair, so it took to colors easy and Kool-Aid didn't cause any damage. Likewise, although I bleach my hair these days (it darkened as I got older), I use pigmented conditioners to upkeep my pink color - my hair is VIVID pink, and super healthy; the conditioner doesn't do any damage at all.

Grimes might even just be using some of that Halloween non-toxic spray stuff in her kid's hair, or kid-safe chalk.

yeah i used joico color intensity for years and years and years, it's literally just coloured conditioner
