So glad that noted marginalised person, Kate Winslet, and Chilling in Parks with Coke star Billie Piper are finally getting their dues.

Were they consulting with JK Rowling or something?

I mean yeah, it's technically correct and I wish older women in general were able to receive a broader amount of roles instead of just being condemned to being the grandma. A lot of older people live a very rich and social life, maybe they don't even have kids?

But anyway that doesn't change the fact that diversity runs in many different directions and people shouldn't receive a pat on the back simply because they will add 2 'older' women (Read; maybe one 40 year old and a VERY good looking 50 year old). Won't even bother to cut into the fact that white people already have a lot of exposure, what about literally everyone else???

I watch A LOT of British TV and there are loads of white women over 40 on their telly - Nicola Walker, Siobhan Finneran, Sharon Horgan, all the ones listed above, etc. This is not a category of people that needs boosting in awards recognition in the way that WOC (or MOC for that matter) do.

Nicola Walker is in a majority of the British TV shows I watch! She shows up every where. I love her though.
